Default ZJ Bull/Bush guard recommendations

before i go scouring google and youtube for jeep bulids, i was hoping to get your guy's opinion on what you have and what you like.

as the name would suggest, i'm a bit of a boring jeep owner who likes it stock and towny.

i'm looking for something in between standard bull bar and a full after market bumper with guards (Don't know the name of it)

A bush guard is really just for show. Most have u sharped brackets that wrap around the stock bumper and in a crash will bend back.A full off road bumper is stronger and will take a beating and laugh about it.The price between the two are a big different tho.

What he said is absolutely true. A friend of mine had a Chevy Blazer and he made his own grill guard, one that even covered the headlights. We laughed about it because it was only mounted to his original bumper. He got pissed and added a couple of braces that tied the top of it thru the grill to the frame. He took it with us up to the north country on a hunting trip and ran into a tree head-on! All it did was bend a bit. He was able to continue and later drove it home with no problems. He got a bloody nose out of it. Bashed the steering wheel with his face!
