This is my first venture into the "Grand" section of CherokeeForum so you'll have to forgive me if this is a noob question, but...
I have an '04 Laredo that is my wife's DD and our "Family Vehicle". I'm looking into putting a 2" lift on it and some bigger shoes, but I don't want to mess with the ride quality too much if I can avoid it. I drastically changed how my XJ rides when I put the 6.5" lift on it, but I don't mind because that's my toy and I don't have to drive a 2 month old around in it.
What would be the best lift for maintaining a soft ride and recommended tire size so I don't have to trim or end up rubbing when I turn at full lock? 2" pucks? New 2" lift coil springs? I'm even up for considering the RC 4" kit if anyone has a solid recommendation on that? Let's discuss!

I just installed the 2" Daystar (puck) kit 3 days ago and not having any issues (knock wood). It really leveled out the front end nicely. I also swapped the stock shocks for some ProComps. I am adding some 255/70 17 Duratraxs at the end of this week.
Hopefully nothing pops up but I figure this will get me by until I can get a 4" kit.
Had a 97' GCL and ran it out to 250k. Got this 03' WJ (Overland) and have loved it ever since.

Keep me updated on your new BB kit. Do you notice a difference in the ride yet? Is it about the same or a little stiffer? Did you go with ES3000's or 1000's?
And Blue, thanks for the link, I'll be checking that out.

ES3000 and I guess I needed the shocks ride has been tons better. I have been reading about the death wobble some people are/have been getting so I a going to keep a keen eye on this. May just pre-empt it by getting the RC stabilizer and track bar.
Had an 85 Toyota that was horrible until I upgraded the stabilizer. Was ok with 35 but the wider 38 made it a hand full.

we have a WJ. has a 2 3/4in lift, with 31's. with the lift, the bilstien 5100, enlarged rear sway, extended swaybar links...the thing rides amazing... it cost a few, but the end result is well worth it!
Here's a few pics

Only issue we've had is rubbing. Its chewed up the plastic crap a tad, and if you had the extra lights below it'll chew through those as well. One other issue is death wobble. that was only due to a bad bushing in the trac bar

I was wondering if replacing some of the bushings with urethane would help. It would seem to make sense that we upgrade suspension tires etc but give no love to the other parts that do work.

I would only install urethane bushings in one end of the control arms, to allow the rubber ones in the other ends to allow a little give/flex, and less of a harsh ride that you'd notice with all urethane bushings. JMO
