I have a 2001 WJ, 4.7. The vehicle battery died and I replaced it, which took about 24 hours. After installing the new vehicle battery, both remote door locks started acting weird, not working half the time. Two days later, I have replaced the remote batteries and now, neither is working. Yes, the batteries for the remotes are installed correctly.

Any ideas? I called the dealer and of course, they want a service appointment.

you'll have to do a reporgram to the remotes, i dont know how to do it off the top of my head but I found a write up on it (had to do it to my sisters 00 WJ)

 

You need the dealer to program the remotes, it requires their scan tool to do it.
