Quick question about rear end sag..... I'll be putting my drz400 on a hitch carrier on the back of my 2001 wj limited with upcountry suspension and driving about 800 miles to North Carolina. The DRZ and hitch carrier add about 350 lbs. To the back of the Jeep and causes the rear to sag just over an inch.
Is this too much? Will it be stable on the highway? I don't plan on running more than 70 mph. I've seen those air bags that go inside the coils to help but I'm not sure they are needed. On my 99 XJ I had to add helper springs with the DRZ on the back but it sagged much worse.

One inch doesn't sound bad but you're levering a fair amount of weight out past the end of the vehicle. If it is a one time deal and you're not going too far its probably OK. If it were me, I would get a trailer.

The nice thing about this carrier is that it doesn't stick out too far past the bumper. I'm going to try and pack my camping gear as far forward in the Jeep as I can. I'm not bringing a lot anyways.
