Default WJ I want heated seats

I have a Laredo Special Edition and the wife really wants heated seats. Ive been looking at all the parts on ebay but is there an easier way to do this or a good write up?

Sure, just get a couple of those hunter's pocket hand warmer packs and stick one in each back pocket before leaving the house.

Putting the seats in is only half of the problem. The electrics are complicated. You need a 30 amp supply with relays and fuses. Good luck with that.

installing oem stuff would a pita! mainly not knowing if the stuff you pulled from the donor car was working in the first place? you can pick up heated seat kit on amazon or ebay that will do just as a good job if not better than the standard set up....both my oem heated seats have failed! both heater elements and the contol unit need replacing now! £1200+ from the stealer or £400 online for an aftermarket kit, I know where I'm going for my next set of heated seats

My OEM seats stopped working, so I found a kit at 4WD (I think). It was about $100 and fairly easy to install. Remove the seats, peel back the upholstery and slide the heated element in. Check the continuity to make sure you didn't damage the element, the reattach upholstery and replace seat. Follow the directions on wiring and you're done. They come with a nice hi/low button. They don't heat up as fast as I would like, takes about 5 mins to feel them, but work fine after that. I'm going to put some in my Wrangler next... Good luck.

I'd go to the junkyard and look for a WJ with heated seats and buy the switches and heater elements, and just hope for the best (:

I thought about doing this to my ZJ as well, it has leather but no heated seats, but I don't feel like running all the wiring, since I'd have to wire up the rear window wipe, wiper controls, and other stuff again (they share a panel on the dash).
