WJ front brakes
I'm having a problem with the front brakes on my 2000 WJ and I was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction.
About 6 months ago (10K), my front brakes stopped working. The brake fluid looked dark, so I replaced the fluid and bled the brakes. I started with the rears, which bled fine. I couldn't get any fluid out of the fronts. I left both front bleeders open and opened a rear one. I had fluid everywhere! I closed the rear bleeder and bled the front brakes normaly, then redid the rears.
Everything worked fine for 10K and now the fronts aren't working again. I don't have a brake warning light or an ABS light, it just doesn't stop like it should. The front calipers are fine, they just aren't getting pressure.
What is wrong? any ideas would help. Is the system split front and rear? could the shuttle valve be sticking and if so, why aren't I getting a warning light? It's not leaking any fluid.

Hey Dave. You may have an issue with the soft/flex front lines being collapsed on the inside from age, and not allowing the fluid to pass through. Crack the line loose at the caliper to see if any fluid drips out. Then crack the soft line loose where it meets the hard line at the top to see if any fluid drips out. JMO

Good call, Blue! Thanks, I'll check them out.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm going to change them out. 135K is a good time. Rear also.
