wiper help
Well im kind of really pissed off... putting in the switch was simple, took all of 5 min. Only to discover that my wipers still dont work! The spray works both front and rear, but none of the blades move. Now what? I replaced the wiper motor and the linkage its hooked up to, and now my switch, both front and rear wipers dont work...

Some info on your particular vehicle would be helpful.
Use a meter to verify that you have voltage to the switch. Check all associated fuses. If all that checks good then use your meter at the connector for the motors to verify voltage there.
If you provide vehicle specifics I might be able to give you a wiring diagram.

Do yourself a favor and get a meter. They're inexpensive and an extremely valuable tool when troubleshooting electrical problems. Your Jeep probably has over a mile of wire. If you can't confirm point A to point B you will probably never find the problem.
I have an 03 WJ so my service manual has the correct wiring diagrams for your Jeep.
If you PM me with an email address I will try to send you the pages that deal with the wiper system.

I had my neighbor come over and poke around and hes a mechanic for 20+ years and he couldnt figure it out. So ive decided screw it, there is a shop nearby that does free diagnostics, im going to just take it there tomorrow and let them figure It out. Then once they tell me whats wrong ill go home and fix it myself.

A voltage meter and a repair manual should be in your tool box no matter what, will pay for it self over and over...maybe look into a used one bcm....http://www.ebay.com/itm/FACTORY-BCM-BCU-BODY-CONTROL-MODULE-56042944AF-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-WJ-99-04-/141071014829?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d87cdbad&vxp=mtr

Well I took it to the shop, they said the BCM is bad, and that I had to go to a dealership, I did some reading and if the BCM is same part numver is should be plug and play... so I picked one up, and put it in... still a no go. So I guess I will have to go to the dealer.
