Default Window Issue

I've searched and perused a number of threads but found nothing specific to my problem (though I certainly could have missed the 'fix').

Vehicle: 1994 Grand Jeep Laredo

Issue: The master switch system on the driver's side functions as designed, with the exception of the rear pass side window, which will not work from the master. It will work, however, from the rear pass side door switch.

Attempted fixes: Aware of the common problems associated with broken wiring at the door harness (I'd repaired multiple wires there in the past), I swapped in a 'new' bone yard harness from another 94 which had no visual defects. Issue remains.

I swapped in a 'new' bone yard master from the above 94. Issue remains.

I checked the wiring in the frame-to-door boot on the pass side. No visible breaks/chaffing. Issue remains.

Before I swap rear door switches to verify that the rear switch isn't somehow at fault, are there other suggestions/information which might throw me in the right direction?

Try swapping the rear switches right hand to left hand and see what gives.

The swap from driver's side to pass rear switches proved that the pass side rear was defective. I went to the bone yard where I purchased a 'new' $3.00 switch. Issue resolved.

I doubt this is common but something I found on mine. All the windows worked intermitantly and seemed to have no pattern to failure. I was under the dash looking at wiring coming back through the body from the drivers door when I found a big connector just inboard of the drivers kick panel behind the dash. This connector was partially connected causing the intermittant concern. I simply cleaned the connector and pins and snapped it together and everything has been working fine since.

Its a just another thought for you and a easy and free guess for others that have problems.
