If you have zero lift and put 31's on you will rub very badly. You need to do a 2" Budget Puck lift to clear 31's..

What did these dudes come out with, 28-29's? That's why it took so much of a lift to put 38.5's on my XJ lol. BB lifts aren't very bad on the pocket book.

under normal street driving you shouldnt have a problem but when you go off road you will rub.

ok, cause even i am running bigger than normal (slightly) cause stock on mine is 215/75 r15, so a 30 is a huge wheel increase.

thanks, i was trying to wrap my head around the size difference

From what i've seen if you go any bigger than 29's on a ZJ they will rub. Even with just road driving. That's what I've seen not a guess.

NOW if you have a upcountry pack on your ZJ than you can get away with 30's.

As for the WJ that I could not say, I know very little about them other than I would like to buy one some day.

UpCountry is a stiffer coil and gives about 1" lift over stock..
