Will a 1998 Trans fits a 2000 grand cherokee.
hello. i have a 1998 jeep grand cherokee transmission. auto. from a v8.
will it fit a 2000 model. are there any incompatibility issues with this.

Engine: 4.7L V8
'98 is a one year only trans because of the electronics.
Plus I-6 and V8 transmissions don't interchange because of different mounting bolt patterns on bellhousing.
The '2000 model year transmissions for I-6 and V8's are different also, for the reasons stated above.
2WD units and 4WDs won't interchange either, as the 2WD unit has a longer main shaft which prevents the mounting of the transfer case to it.
