Could be low water level causing a gurgling sound water bubbles in you heater core.

Or, you could have water build up in your dash , usually there will be a plug to release the water from underneath your wiper cowl.

X2, check your coolant level when the engine is cold in the radiator and in the bottle.

well top it off, but, that won't solve your problem if you have air pockets in the system. If thats the deal then watch a google video on how to burp your radiator. Or run a search through this site for a written explanation.

My 98 does this too. I couldnt help but laugh when I read the title because I knew the sound all to well. My resivour was in deed low. However, I have a small leak, that only seems to leak if I take it for a good drive, then let it sit. Seems to take 10-15 minutes after shutting it off before it leaks, leaving a small wet spot the size of a small plate under the front left headlight. Cant find where from exactly.

Mine did it from air in the system. I drained it and put in a new 180 thermostat. Drilled the thermostat based on a writeup here and now it purges automatically. No more issues.

Park it with the front uphill. You want the radiator cap opening to be the highest point in the system which it is on level ground but it doesn't hurt to elevate it even more.
