Wife's ZJ issues
I need help with the wife's jeep please. It is a 1995 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0.
Its good at times and hard at other times. Its like it floods out. It also cuts out at 3200 rpm. It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold.
We did a complete tune up, plugs cap rotar wires oil change and filters. We change the MAP, CPS, TPS, installed a 195 thermostat, cleaned the IAC. I removed the old cat and muffler and replaced with pipe and a Turbo muffler. We also changed the fuel pump with a Mopar reman.
Please help, what am I missing. I check the connectors into the computer also looking for loose connections (thats the master electrician coming out in me).

Tho only sensor left is the cam sensor, super easy to replace and not too expensive. The coolant temp sensor can cause an over fueling issue if the it reads too cold for too long.

We put a new battery in it today. I was the voltage gauge earlier when I was starting in it after setting for about an hour. The guage was showing about a red head hair under 12 volts. I hit the key and it pulled the guage down into the red and it was a ***** to start. I let it run for a minute and shut it off again. Restarted it the thing and the needle didn't go into the red and it lit right off. We put a new battery in it and not a luck of problems starting. Go figure. Still have the cut out issue at 3400 rpm now. I'm going to try the can sensor next.

high rpm stalling
You could have a weak coil that will cause the same issue (breaking down at high rpm's-overheating) the following link will help guide you to testing your coil, (all coils work the same but may not look the same)also the pickup up in the distributor could be failing but there is no test for the pick up. their not too expensive. you can get both for under $90.00. good luck..
