Why did my headlight cought fire?????

Default Why did my headlight cought fire?????

The light bulbs were fairly new , I never noticed any cracks or tears in the wireing

Welcome to the forum.

The 15A fuse #12 protects that circuit.

My guess is the excessive heat was likely created by poor connection resistance at the bulb / wiring connection.

Did you use a oem light or something aftermarket like a drop in hid kit ?
