white smoke, vacuume hose disconectedq
Hello fello Jeep loves, I have some repair problems:
white smoke from exhaust (told atf being burned)
vacuum hose disconnected (but idles fine...with it connected it dies)
lost a white connector to a hose from the back of the engine ( not sure what this hose goes to or what to ask for at the auto parts store.
Thanks!
Adam

Hi Adam and Welcome to the Forum!
A picture is worth a thousand words but a few more words like which engine your GC has helps too. Then maybe others will try to help as well.
White smoke from the exhaust can be ATF but I'm not aware of any connection between the tranny an engine that would cause that. Coolant ingestion is more likely. Smell the exhaust fumes. If it smells like hot coolant, you may have a cracked head or blown head gasket.
I can't help on the vacuum line. Again, a picture posted should get you an answer.
Best of luck!

The only way for it to burn atf is if the radiator ruptured internally causing the coolant and atf to mix, but it would have to also have a cracked head or bad head gasketfor that to be the case which I'm willing to bet it's not. This hose you see isn't a vent hose is it? If so it shouldn't be connected to anything
