Default whats up with my A/C clutch??

i had my a/c recharged last month. it worked great and blew cold for a day. next day, hot air. i noticed with the a/c on, there was a loud squealing coming from the front. i just left the a/c off the last month and drove with the windows down. today it was cooler out so i decided to take a look at it.

i found that when the clutch engages, the outer part of the clutch turns with the pulley, but the inner part of the clutch does not turn. i put a wrench on the bolt, and the compressor turns freely. ive attached a video of what its doing

Either clutch is slipping on hub or compressor going out did center bolt get checked for tightness. When you spin pulley you not spining compressor just the hub spinning.

I had the same problem with a Dodge Caravan. The orifice was freezing up and back pressuring the compressor with liquid and seizing it up.

the bolt is tight. i know the pulley spins independently of the compressor when the clutch is not engaged. i can grab the center of the clutch and rotate the compressor by hand, and there is no grinding or catching.

grabbed the outer clutch plate and hub from the junkyard today. actually came off a dodge avenger. was walking toward the jeeps and saw this compressor sitting on the hood of the avenger and "huh, that looks like mine" so i unbolted the clutch plate and sure enough it was the same. so i took it up to the front and told them it was an ac clutch plate and they said "we dont have that in our system, you can just take it" sweet! slapped it on my jeep and so far so good!
