What transmission do I have?!

Hey guys! So as the description says, I’m trying to find out which transmission my Jeep has. I have a 93 grand Cherokee v8. I’ve tried doing some research and I think it came with the 46rh? But not 100% sure. My Jeep was sold as a 1993 but it is really a 1992 grand Cherokee. Can anybody tell me if it truly comes with a 46rh or if it’s something else please!

Engine: 4.0L (AMC) Straight Six

Yup, 46RH. All '93-'95 V8 ZJ's had that transmission. In 1996, they changed the transmission for the V8 engine (not sure what they changed it to, but 1996-98 models do NOT have the 46RH).

This topic has the Grand Cherokee specifications.

The 46RH changed to the 44RE in '96 for the 5.2L and the 46RE was used in '98 on the 5.9L.
