1998 Grand Cherokee. It is mounted right behind the grill.

 

That is your ambient temp sensor for displaying the temp on your overhead.

 

Thanks for the reply. I did look it up later and forgot to update the post. I see there are several cracks in the header and the radiator support is dragging badly on the condenser. Further inspection found several missing bolts, misalignment, and pith poor workmanship on someone's part when the radiator was replaced.
