i have a 94 jeep grand cherokee and i want to put a 5 speed transmission in it. what will bolt on with least modification?
nv4550?
ax15?

 

I'm not entirly sure this is all by word of mouth I havnt tried it...yet but Ive been told that the dodge Dakota used an ax15 behind the 5.2 in the 90's and the only difrence was the bellhousing witch is interchangeable.. Now I have no idea on the accuracy of that so befor sinking any cah into it do some research but it's a place to start.. Good luck

 

if it has a 5.2, then either go with a nv3500 or 4500. bellhousing is the same, started needs to be moved though because dodges are on the oppo side. I looked into this swap extensively and would be willing to give you plenty of info

if it has a 4.0, swap in an ax-15 (which is what 5 spd zj's had from the factory) and call it a day
