alright so now my 93 grand cherokee 5.2 is running again due to a crank position sensor. no another weird problem.

so i did a 300 mile trip today as a test run before i do the 1500mile run to florida in a few weeks. and heres my prob

it will randomly violently missfire will crusing down the highway. comes and goes. can go up to 50 miles running fine. and it runs fine otherwise.

it will do mutiple cylinders or just one outta no where. any idea guys? i did the spark plugs today since i knew they were needed but it did this last night so its nothing caused by any work i did today. thanks


EDIT: i drove it for 2k without any issues. all started since the cps went out

 

well replaced the rotor and cap. which looks original also. well see on my little 200mile trip today

 

still doing it. have a weird feeling it might be a clogged injector. when ever i use alittle sea foam thru the vacuum line goes away. today im really going todo a good induction service and see what happens.

and doing that cap and rotor is giving me amazing mpg!

 

I would just a overall service like plug wires maybe the coil see if that might help. Just a suggestion

 

just did a complete tune up. wires plugs the whole thing. just cleaned out IAC which was nasty. im not playing the lets replace this game. did that with the firebird for two years ended up being a fuel pump.
