Oh, are you in for a treat! Your "new" jeep works on a data-bus system where all the modules "talk" to one another. Everything is integrated and all the gauges get their information from the PCM and NOT from the sensors! Most of the sensors work on 5 volts so clean connections are important!

You can get lots of good information from wjjeeps.com and you can download a Full Service Manual from pacificcoastmanuals.com for about $8. It's a reprint of the Factory Service Manual the dealerships use and is year-specific so you don't have to search for your particular model. It's about 100 mbs of compressed pdf files and covers everything in your jeep. DO NOT try to print it out! There are over 140 pages on the transmission alone!

I'm a dinosaur and the WJ is about as complicated as I ever want to get! If I ever replace mine, I'm buying something older!
