Two tan wires
I have two tan wires, one with a spade connector, and the other a weird looking female-type connector. They look like they came out of the same loom, but are not connected. They are hanging down near the brake pedal, any ideas what they might be? I have a 93 grand Cherokee with a 4.0, by the way.

Just a thought. Do you have cruise control and does it work? May be brake/cruise disconnect. Someone may have replaced the brake switch with one without cruise control.

My cruise works. The only thing that doesn't. Is the outside temperature readout. I understand the sensor is under the front bumper and it is next in line to fix. I noticed these wires when I was checking the wiper intermittent box on the kick panel. Oh yes, they aren't working either, but it appears that the printed circuit board has a burn spot in it...also a part to pick up at the junk yard...

On my 97 ZJ, the OAT (outside air temp) sensor is behind a vertical section of the grill. It lied by about 30 degrees. I replaced it with a jy part and it still lied. The delay wipers work by slowly charging a capacitor to a preset discharge level and then tripping a relay for one swipe. With the known history of bad capacitors in these vehicles, I'd be willing to bet you've got one on your board.
BTW, I find the compass function very helpful navigating back country roads I don't know.
