changing the plugs..is changing the plug coil just as important??
cherokee sputters and stalls..replaced ccv valves and air filter to no avail..

 

Just the plugs, but you should inspect the boots for signs of spark leaking out of them. All it takes is a pinhole in the boot for the spark to leak out to the nearest ground with the least resistance. Burnt spots and cracks are signs of the spark jumping.
