Transmission question
I bought a 95 Grand Cherokee Laredo 2wd,4.0 engine and 42RE transmission. When I bought it I knew that it had transmission issues and That it needed a new exhaust manifold. The transmission would slip and shudder in reverse and also slip 1st to 2nd.
I replaced the exhaust manifold and the 02 sensor, while doing this I had read on the forums about taking the battery out so that the electronics would reset itself. I got everything back together and the Jeep fired right up. We drove it around 80 miles and the transmission worked flawlessly.
This morning I was going to take on a little trip and it immediatly went back to the original problems of slipping and shuddering in reverse and slipping 1st to 2nd. I know its got to be something simple as it worked so perfectly the night before, any Ideas as to what it could be,,,Thanks Frank

Wont shift gears and need help
I have a 89 cherokee inline 6. I just had water pump changed and now it will not shift gears. It is an automatic and I have never had problems with it till now. I checked the fluid and everything on the throttle body seems to be working. If anyone has any ideas i would love some help.
