Default Transmission problem....can you help??

OK...I know I should search, but there were so many topics, I thought I would ask.

99 Grand Cherokee. When I am on the gas I get a thump-thump-thump coming from the transmission. It sounds/feels very similiar to driving over "Cats eyes" in the road or over repair strips.

When I come off the gas and coast, it is barely noticable...although still there.

I've just had a new transfer box fitted, so it's not that.

Any ideas would be most welcome.

What gear dose it do this in? Have you check the fluid level?

It seems to do it in all gears....fluid levels are all correct.
It seems to be worse once warmed up. Pulled away cold this morning & I could hardly notice it. After a few miles it came back??
