Default Transmission Lines ?s

I recently took the front sway bar off my XJ and it looks like my control arm has come up to high and crushed a section of my transmission lines. I bought some high pressure hose and clamps to put in place of the lines after they were cut out. Has anybody else had this problem and what did you do to fix it? Thanks.

I just had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. Seems the main cause of mine was a bad motor mount that under full flex allowed my motor to sway to one side and into the arm. To fix it I put in new mounts and then cut trans lines just behind control arms and just out of cooler and used high pressure hose straight up into engine bay. This keeps it up and away from any chance of it happening again. Just be sure to double up on hose clamps on all connections and you'll be fine. If you have any more questions just shoot me a pm.

The motor mount makes sense. It also took a bite of of my oil pan but it isn't leaking.

Yes mine was exactly the same. It was motor mount on the drivers side.

In the middle of replacing my lines right now and it looks like it is the upper control arm that crushed my tranny lines. Have you ever heard of this before?

Yes mine was the exact same thing. Motor mount was so bad the motor had dropped a couple inches o the drivers side which allowed the oil pan to move over to passenger side an inch or more.

Did you get it lined out? Did you have a bad motor mount?
