Hi All,

I'm a little concerned about the transmission in my 2004 JGC (special edition) 4.0 inline 6. Around 20MPH, I'm assuming is where the my automatic transmission is shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. At lower RPMs, If I' m just giving it enough gas to reach 20MPH the trany seems to hesitate and kind of jumps before going into gear. But if I increase the RPMS by going faster it shifts smoothly and doen't jump. Any ideas? Could it be a pump in the tany, is it nothing to worry about because it could just be related to shifting at low RPMS? What do you think? Any advice is much appreciated. I've been through hell and back with my Jeep this week and I damn near traded it in for an F250. I know you doge fans out there might hang mw for saying that. I'd like to keep my Jeep, but if this trany hiccup turns out to be a big issue, I think I may lose my faith in an Crysler product.

Thanks,

Jaeger

Im not sure about yours but some of the chrysler products tend to get crud built up on the shift linkage. Take a steel wire brush and clean it then spray wd-40 on it . You may have to do this a few times. Ive had this happen to more than 1 chrysler . So far its worked every time. Good luck.
