Transmission cover
Hello,
i own a 97 grand cherokee 4l 6.
First of all i apologize for my kind of poor english writing, maybe the fact that i,m from the netherlands explains it
But i have a question and i hope someone can help me.
Its the transmission cover
As you can see there are some holes in the cover that i would like to fix.BUT i really dont know how to get the cover off so i can take it inside and fix it.
So if anyone can help i would appreciate it
Rob.

Rob it is just a case of brute force. The "T" handle comes off the shift stalk you just have to really pull hard. I put my trans shifter all the way back to low gear and sat in the back seat with my feet firmly planted on the base of the front seats and pulled real hard and it came off then I could get the indicator plate off for replacement or repair.
