Ok, I have searched but can't find anything.... (sorry for crappy spelling.... I'm on my phone)

I have a 2000 GC limited v8 with the quadratrac II. Here is the issue.
Batteries died last night so I jumped it with my car but now when in reverse 4hi or 4low it feels just like it should. When in Drive 4low feels just like it should. But when in drive 4hi it has no power. Feels just like when a cluch is burning up..... no smells no weird noise. Tyranny fluid is full and does not smell burned. I can't even spin any tires in the snow....... I'm at a loss.

 

oh and i forgot to add that the overdrive button now does nothing. no light on the dash when pushing it......

Maybe the TCM is toast?

 

well for poos and giggles I picked up a new battery.....

all good now. wth! a battery makes the TC not work.... weird

 

Interesting. You'd think with a working ALT it would get enough juice to run right.

I know mine runs fine with no battery, but its an 87 4.0l so not very similar.

 

not sure, maybe the alt didn't get enough juice to all the systems yet...

Crazy electronics I guess..... now off to find a small lift.
