Hey guys new to is but going to give it a try. I have a 2001 GC with a 6 cyl in it was running fine and had not been drove in a few months now the transmission will not shift out of first gear when it is warmed up. as long as it is cold it works great. after it warms up the only way to get it to shift to second gear in shift to n and back to drive the rest of the gears are fine any thoughts?

 

one of the valves or check ***** is stuck. Drive it around for a while and it will return to normal.

 

First thing to check is the fluid level. Any Check Engine Light on?

 

mine is doing the exact same thing. im counting it as a lost cause and im putting a 5 speed in it

 

ok a bunch of people said control solenoid so i changed it. it seem to help shifted fine for one day now it is making a grinding noise and wont go into rev drive seems ok but looks like a trip to the trans. shop is next
