trans help!!
My mechanic says this is the nuetral safety switch off my chrystler trans but none of the auto part stores know what this part is. Can someone let me know if they know what it is??

I dont know whats wrong with the parts stores you are using, but thats what its called and thats the correct part in the picture. Its possible they call it a "Park/Neutral Position Switch". It also does the reverse lamps.

Funny, I went to "Scotty's Jeep" in fontana ca, these guys are supposed to be jeep specialists... They had no idea what it was. Ruda about it too.. I found the part at napa auto. But now need the piece that attaches to it with 3 wires coming off of it. Any idea what that is called?

Ok, I am using O'Reilly's. I linked the switch in the above post. If you search their site you will find the switch and the connector/pigtail.
