Towing a Samurai?
Well I must make a decision soon, I have decided to build another Samurai for a trail rig and that only means one thing...I'll have to tow it. I love my 95 ZJ with the 4.0 and the NP231 but the dreaded 42RE is not going to tow my Samurai around on an 18 foot dovetail trailer. I'd probably keep it if it had a V8 with the better tranny but it looks like I'm going to have to trade it for a truck. The blue book value states $1500 in excellent condition for this ZJ which doesn't give it much value.
I don't suppose there is any way to set this ZJ up to tow a Samurai. I don't have access to nor can I afford a smaller trailer.
I'm looking at a trade for a 2000 Ford F450 2wd dually with a 12 foot flatbed I can just haul the Samurai on the bed.
