Default Took this part out, put it back, now no start...HELP!

Hey, looks like i screwed up. I took this part out, which seems to be a distributor shaft. Not sure what it really is, but it was not the part i was meaning to take out. I put it back in, now my Jeep wont start. Any suggestions?

EDIT: i have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 4.0L. Took this part from the passenger side of the engine. just took one bolt and it was attached to an electrical port.

Remove the #1 Spark Plug
Remove the Dist.Cap
Remove the distributor.
Bring the #1 piston up to Top Dead Center on the Compression Stroke. Stuff your finger in the spark plug hole while someone bumps the starter. When yo feel air blowing by your finger STOP.
Use a 19mm socket and turn the harmonic balancer bolt clockwise (only) while keeping an eye on the timing marks on the timing chain cover.
Once the #1 piston is at TDC, re-install the distributor so that the rotor is pointing at the 5 O'clock position when the distributor is fully seated.

A word of caution.
Make sure that you rotate the oilpump shaft with a long screwdiver so that it lines up properly with the distributor. Failure to do so will prevent the distributor from fully seating.

Reinstall the cap
Reinstall the sparkplug
Double check the plugwires to make sure you have the correct sequence.
Fire it up.

Why are you removing parts that you don't even know the name of?

It is the camshaft positions sensor and oil pump drive. Follow Frank's instructions to get it running (insert cam sensor where he said distributor), you may have to have the fuel synchronization reset using a scan tool if it doesn't run perfectly.

Thanks for all the help guys. I really appreciate it.

I thought the part i was taking out was something else...not doing that again unless i know for sure. lesson learned

I fixed it but not the way instructed. I tired at first but it did not work.

Then i just took the distributor(camshaft positions sensor?) and left it loose while someone turned the key. playing with it while loose allowed me to put it in the right position (when the engine sounded solid) then tightened it down.

going to get it timed correctly tomorrow, as it isn't 100%.
