I own a v8 limited 4.7 2001 grand. Somehow i managed to blow to the engine. Oil went low... they said they dropped the oil and it was sludge and metal shavings or it had some metallic luster to it. I'm not planning on rebuilding the motor. I'm ether thinking of a reman (undecided brand), a used engine, or a different compatible motor . So for those who are blessed with the knowledge... what are the top brands for reman motors? also wondering if there are compatible motors without altering the tranny, etc... if so what year, cylinder, so forth.
