If you can't stand the look of the stock wheels, go ahead and mount your tires on those wheels. They're a little wide but it won't hurt anything until you get the bigger tires.

You won't be able to go much larger than a 235/75r15 without a lift, unless you do some trimming of the bumpers and fenders.

He's right. My 97 ZJ had 235/75R15s on it and I had no problems with it. It might have taken 245s but they might have rubbed at full lock.

You might get away with 30-9.50-15, but it will be tight.

I have a 93 ZJ Upcountry--didn't know it was the upcountry version when I bought it but kept thinking how it looked higher than all the other ZJs and my old 95 ZJ...because it was as it turns out.

with a massive 2" lift (some places say 1.5") there is a LOT of room for 235/75-15s. Even with the new tires I put on, some Cooper AT3s, which are definitely taller than the costco soccermom Michelin LTX set it came with. So if you threw on a 3" lift you'd have a lot of room to play with

Here's some shots--side view and then maxed out parked on some berm...added front view so you can get an idea of the "hill" - if the left rear was rubbing, I didn't hear it....

Spacer lifts are pretty darn easy to install for the DYIer. With a simple 2" spacer lift you can fit a 30-9.50-15 without having to trim anything. About a hundred bucks, some spare time, and some handtools and jack stands is all that keeps you from sitting 2" higher.
