Default Throwing code for coil

I'm throwing a code saying coil is bad would that cause a stutter when driving? Also where is coil I know it's on passenger side and on the block right?

96 jeep gc 4.0 autozond shows a external one on block. I was just wondering if I should replace? There not very expensive

Ignition Coil? Just follow the middle wire on the distributor cap to it.

I was getting a misfire code on several cylinders on my V-8 yesterday, tested coil, was in specs. Took the distributor cap off to have a look and it was shot along with the rotor. $25 for parts no more misfire or service engine light

I had a similar issue. Was the code P0351?
'96-98 GC have PCM issues. It could be your coil, and it is cheap and easy to replace, but look out for the main computer issues.

Here is a pretty good explanation of the problem, and why it shows up intermittantly...
