Think it might be control arm bushings?
I'm getting a noise in the front end--passenger side to be exact. It seems that the noise can't be heard from outside the vehicle when I bounce it up and down, but it is very noticeable on the inside. The noise is sort of a grinding/squeaking noise (best way I can think of to describe it). It almost sounds like my urethane control arm bushings did on my Cavalier---they squeaked like crazy.
Could it be the control arm bushing? Do those go bad on the Cherokee? Is there something else I should look for? Passenger side has a new upper ball joint (boot was torn). I need an alignment, but that will come when I replace the faulty steering gear box.
This is a 2004 GC Laredo 4x4 by the way.
