Angry Tempature sending unit

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee limited with a 4.0 i replaced the first one and it read at 240 degrees. I replaced the 2nd on and it reads at 210 to 205 and my old one before i did my valve cover gasket read at 195 is there a direction that the sending unit needs to go in to get the correct reading. I put a interfared thermometor on it and it goes from 190 to 195 so please get back to me asap

Not trying to be a smart ash, but it will only go in one way and not leak.

That said there are 2 sending units on your block. One is for the ECM and the other is for the gauge.
