Temp Blend Door
I have a '95 Grand Cherokee Limited that my daughter drives. The temp control is stuck at full cold (great for summer, but not so much this time of year). One garage gave me a price of around $1,000 to replace the unit with the blend door. I'm not willing to throw that kind of money at this. Can this be accessed and the door be manually placed at about 3/4 hot?
I don't plan on keeping this car, so I don't want to put more $$ into it than I have to. I will be selling it in the Spring when she has saved enough money to buy her own transportation.
Thanks.

The $1000 is to pull the dash out to fix it. There are kits for sale where you cut a hole in the heater plenum, replace the door, and patch up the hole.
