sway bar bolt

Default sway bar bolt

i got a lifted ZJ, and my bolts that go from the swaybar link to the front axle are gone? does anyone know if auto parts store will sell these, the inner sleeve to the bushings are gone too?

Just go to a hardwear store and get a bolt there. When I did my lift the bolt was rusted aka welded. So I had to cut it out and just got a 3/8 bolt (grade 6 or 8) I think. Check the size but if that is not what you want to do they may have one. If not there is always the junk yeard but that to may be rusted like mine was.

thats what i was thinking of doing, but what do i do about the inner metal sleeve that's supposed to go in the bushing?

Yeah you can get tubing. The sleeves are just sheet metal rolled around a tube so you can do that or just get a 1 1/2 in tube and slid that in. Get creative!

yea i found some stuff laying around, that was the exact length, just had to roll some tape around it to fit snug in the rubber bushing, i still need to find the bolt and i know my local junkyard doesnt have any ZJ with the front end intact

You should probably replace the links as the bushings are press fit in. It will save you some aggrevation.
