Exclamation Super high idol

So i just got a 2002 grand cherokee laredo to go with my xj and when i start it .. it revs way up and holds for a long time.... n e idea what this could be ?? i dont want n e thing to screw up... she idols way to high

friends tj did the same things. just start hitting the wires and what not. im not saying that it will solve the problem for good. but it worked for him. haha. gotta love jeeps

and try "idle"

Haha ill give it a try when i get home.... use to do that all the time with my talon ... when all else fails ... just start bangin on it

what? this is awful advice.


take a look at your throttle position sensor. it may need adjustment or replacement.

also if its an automatic adjust the kickdown cable.

could be the idle air control valve mine did the same its like 30 bucks and its 2 t25 torx bits to change it...its on the back of the the throttle body
