Strange shifts between 1'st and 2'
Hi,
Have a 5.2, 1997. I have recently change out the Safety Neutral Switch so I could get my reverse lights to work again.
But since then I have had some issues with the change between first gear and second / third
It will only change when reaching approx 3000 rpm?
Why......?

Have you tried adjusting the shifter cable??
If that dosnt work you should have a 42re Trans. Pull the pan and do a Trans service. mostly to check for debris in the pan and fluid condition.
