Hi Guys, getting to know my GC now. Today I've popped a new exhaust and tranny filter on. She's now fully sealed underneath and I've just about sorted the binding brakes - I have on caliper left that's being naughty. I've found out the Jeep belonged to an old fella who did 5k miles in 5 years and in the last year it did 27 miles. All the electrics work, thank God. Only problem I have is this shimmy when I'm driving the steering feels a bit wooley and she wonders a bit. I've had a bar in all the front end and can't see any massive movement, I've checked everything is tight and even adjusted the steering box and changed the power steering oil. The only thing I can come up with is that on the way home from buying it she was shocking, while I've been working on it I've had 2 new front tyres - sorry U.S version - tires fitted, the backs have not been changed yet. The tires are Pirelli Scorpion and have been left flat by the look of it for a while and the valley bottoms in the tread pattern are covered in cracks there are also quite a few near the tire bead on the sidewalls. Unless anyone else can come up with something I don't know about GC's as I'm new to them, I'm thinking the tires are shot. What I will ask though is how heavy is your steering as mine is quite heavy?
