It will but is a slower box.. More turns of the wheel from lock to lock..
Like said above you'd be better off to do a Durango box upgrade or get a J20 steering box..

It's the 3/4 ton full size Jeep truck. Most know of the J10 and the Honcho, basically the same thing just heavy duty..

Engine: 4.0 Liter In 6
i have a 1987 jeep cherokee 4 liter in 6. i want to do the steering box switch to the durango box, but is it going to still be the '99 durango box or a different year since my cherokee is a little older? my box is shot right now so any help would be greta. thanks! lol
