Unhappy 95 jgc, cranks no start

bought a 95 jgc, has 4.0 w/auto, read a lot on this site, what a great group of peaple, got a lot of info, thanks, chip munks ate a lot of wiring under hood, looks like last owner took shot gun full of butt conectors and shot under hood, went to junk yard got good harness, (not on yet) but I will do this on the weekend, have battery voltage at + lead on coil wiring for 2 to 3 sec then it goes away, not even long enough to crank unit, just looking for any ideas, then see where i'm at, got engine harness, ecm, pick up coil, coil, crank sensor, O2 sensor, harness from battery to ecm and fuse block, 3 days of 1 or 2 hours at a time after work, but only 40.00 bucks i didn't think that was a bad start, but I read some where about the theif sys doing something like this, but can't find the link now, any help or ideas will be helpful, thanks fred

Thumbs up ol-blue

thanks 4 the reply, no the speedo and miss r not at the same time, but after reading alot on the forum, I took dash out and tightened up all the small screws on back, speedo fixed , then after more reading and loking on parts sites, it says that the cps comes with a paper sleeve on it got thinking that it may be for a spacer to set the air gap between it and ring gear, used 2 slices of old pizza box lip and smoe silcon and made a .020 shim removed cps and put on bottom and reinstalled it and so for after 1800 miles wifes says it runs GREAT, so time will tell, looking 4 another cheap unit to repair so we can have his and hers, so only wants to share jgc when it's broke? thanks for all the good posts fred
