Steal Vs Fiber glass bumpers
I've been looking up front bumpers for my Grand Cherokee Laredo ZJ and i found that there are fiber glass and steal ones. I was just wondering if there was a major difference between the two, besides price.

If you "steal" them then you save a lot of money, unless you get caught. You may then end up in prison if the cost exceeds $500 (in Tx) then it jumps from misdemeanor to a felony.
"Steel" on the other hand is much more durable than fiberglass but much harder to shape without proper tools.

Yes, the Icelander is the one i was thinking about. I don't want to buy it then hit something and break it or anything though.

I think if you hit something hard enough to break that bumper, your jeep may not like you anymore. Fiberglas is very tough stuff when done right and thick enough. Those bumper are real sweet looking as well.
Now for me, I went to the junk yard and for 15 bucks and some hrs welding made myself a nice winch bumper.

Please don't get me wrong, if things were still going strong like last year, then I probably would have looked at one of those bumpers. But my jeep was purchased for takeing off road only, it is being used by my kids now because it drives so nice in the winter, but this is just my toy, not a daily driver. At least by me. So I can see guys wanting those pretty bumpers that are manufactured, I think the iceland one is the coolest,
Pics I'll see what I can do for ya. I have lots just not the finished project, I just coated this last weekend.

I am a fan of steel myself. Yeah it is heavy but I know it will do the job. I just brought home my steel for my front bumper. I will be in it $150 after everything and the same thing I have in mind for my zj is hundreds more through a dealer or catalog. But that is just me. If I liked the looks of something else and I had the$, I would probably get it.
