Starting issues, please help
Just got an 04 jeep grand cherokee limited 4.7l v8
I have fuel and have spark. Got a new battery, new spark plugs, new starter, and new camshaft position sensor. It'll crank but won't start, sounds a bit slow on the turnover. Can someone please help

It's possible, going to check on that, 120,000 on engine and transmission, 265,000 on body, bought it not running, only code it's saying is Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High output

Well there aint no magic bullet here, just gonna have to work through the possibilities. If the valve timing is ok, then the ecm or crank sensor would be my most likely suspects since you already got a new cam sensor and fuel/fire ruled out. Check the harness connection on the ecm before condemning it. Look for rat gnawed wires in the harnesses also. I also have an 04 GC but it has the 4'0 engine. The positive battery cable has two leads, one small an done large. The large one feeds the starter and the little one feeds pretty much everything else. I had a lot of weird symptoms in mine that I finally tracked down to the small lead coming off the battery. It still had the original cable end on it and looked fine but was not delivering anywhere near full current, causing hard starting and a lot of other stuff. If it is corroded on yours and your coil pack isn't getting full voltage the spark may be failing under compression. check that as well. Good luck and God Bless.

Old fart with a wrench
You COULD try replacing the IAT. They are only a variable resistor and don't cost much. $7.81 Rockauto.
