Ok, for giggles...i got another amp. speakers were still muffled.

So I grabbed a speaker that I know is good and ran wire to the amp itself.
Muffled. Now, I know the radios are good, so somewhere between the radio to the amp I am having a problem.

any one have a clue what and where? are there any problem area's that I should take a look at?

Try to match your amp to your speakers...
Example:
200W RMS speakers should have a 200W RMS amp

My wires were so jacked up I ended up just running new speaker wires to every door. I think it was better that the stock little wires anyway.

And Jason, was your problem with the factory wiring?
