Hi All,

I formerly had a Jeep Cherokee Sport 1999 that I purchased new and cherished. I sold it in 2006, and went German with BMW and "M" series cars until now. Now that my mid-life crisis is over, I am going back to Jeep. I plan on purchasing on Monday a 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited Hemi 5.7L, and I am very excited! From my conversations with the dealer, the car is in immaculate shape and I know it is a good value, from my research. I haven't had a chance to really review your site yet (and I am happy to be a new member I must say!), which is what I am going to do now, but I am thinking about getting a mobile inspection unit to come to the dealership to check it out to ensure that there are no major mechanical issues, but I wanted to ask with this particular vehicle, what are some issues that I should look out for? BTW, it has about 93K miles on it. Thanks so much in advance for the guidance! - Joey

Hey Joey! I am new here myself and just sold my BMW today. A few months ago I bought an 05 WK Limited 5.7 with 46,000 miles. I love it!

My only issue is the "service 4WD" is illuminated. My research shows it could either be nothing (a simple reprogram of the computer) or an involved and potentially costly fix.
