Hey ive got a 96 ZJ with a 5.2L. Im about to lift it 4" with a rough country lift and im looking for tires. I went to some tire shops and was kinda suprised at prices they have jumped a ton. Im looking for a really aggressive A/T or a M/T. The main factor is it needs to be cheap. Would love to get some help. Got Any suggestions?

search craigslist, what size are you wanting? i wanted to trim with 33's on 4in and that'd be a really easy size to find online.

 

ProComp Xtreme All Terrains are one of the most aggressive all-terrain tires availabe.

At my shop we sell a 285/75R16 Xtreme AT, which is comparable to a 33" tire, for about $239 each.

 

If you want cheap check out treadwright.com. But only can get as big as 31's for 15" wheels but can get up to 35's for 16" wheels. I had a previous set and loved them, looked aggressive but yet did great on the road also, and definatly cant beat their prices.

 

Just got some GY Duratracs from 4wheelparts, good pice, and pretty aggressive looking A/Ts. I hear nothing but good things, only had mine a day though, so...

yokahama geolander a/t's are pretty good for street/light trails

 

BFG A/Ts are awesome, last forever and do well offroad. $125 is great! Not much more than off brand tires and you get a good dependable name.

Only reason I didn't get them on this Jeep was that I wanted something just a tad more aggressive looking.

I think most that have em live in places where it snows.... I live in the desert but often head to the mountains in winter. Maybe all the siping and "tread between the tread" is somewhat overkill for me but I hear they perform well in many conditions and I like knowing I have good snow and ice capable tires when I need them. I think they're even drilled for studs. My old tires were downright scary up there this year!

 

Yeah I'm up in VT........dry pavement it feels like your glued down, wet too and it's almost as good on ice as my tj that has studded winters on. I would have gotten the studs on the GY's but unless you keep them as winter tires only you'd just burn up the studs in the summer

I spent a lot of time deciding which tires to get. What is also nice about them is that with the all time 4WD and these tires I'm not required to put chains on.
