shifting problem on 96 GCL (auto, 5.2L)
my GCL shifts into second fine but from 2nd to drive sometimes takes a lil while, but sometimes it shifts like a dream. Had the fluid and filter changed but it still only does it once in a while. I looked at some otherr posts about this and they talk about a throtle control sensor or something like that. Is this a major repair or is the sensor going bad. When its cold it takes longer for her to shift but after a lil driving she shifts just fine. Friends told me that its normal for a JEEp to do this(really?) Hopefully you experts can help me out with "SARAH" my JEEP

Hey there it sounds like the governor pressure solenoid and transducer might be going. I had 2 GCs and a dodge truck do the same thing. Since the two trannys are very similar they took the same sensors and we're in the same locations they are in the valve body and are pretty easy to change. You of course have to take down the pan and reeve the torx bolts that hold the mounting plate into the body and swap them out. The only place you can get them however is from the dealer and they'll set you back about 80 bucks and the cost of fluid. Good luck
